The Stacking Benjamins Show

Jun 17, 2015

How do we ensure that the huge banking and housing mistakes people made leading up to the 2007 crisis don't happen again? We're thrilled former FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair joins today us in the basement to discuss some of the tragic events from those years. We tackle predatory and crazy lending practices, the initial TARP meeting and many thoughts on how to prevent similar problems in the future. All of this is in her new book, The Bullies of Wall Street. While Sheila initially wrote the book for high school and college-aged kids, anyone interested in the crisis and the important role of both Sheila and the FDIC during that time will find it a fascinating tale.

As if that isn't enough, the one-and-only Josh Dorkin, founder of the awesome real estate community BiggerPockets (and host of the BiggerPockets podcast) sits in the co-pilot seat this week while OG is away. We discuss landscaping, job searches, diversifying your portfolio and more!
