CBS Business Analyst and host of the wildly popular Jill On Money Show, Jill Schlesinger joins us in the basement to recap 2015. What should we have learned? She'll have five lessons from events of the past twelve months.

Joe & OG share headlines and take your letters, including one asking about "too big to fail" and another asking about multi-level marketing schemes. Should our listener take a "free" plan from an MLM company rep?

Dec 26, 2015

Historical note: This was our first big interview. I remember being really nervous prepping for this. Of course, Julie was fantastic, but I realized after the interview that there's a real art to asking someone to describe a topic. - Joe

Show Notes: (this was the first episode where we decided show notes weren't necessary, so none were included--regretted this later)

Dec 25, 2015

Tucker rewinds to a short 2 Guys & Your Money episode with Len Penzo.

Dec 22, 2015

Historical note: This was the first show where we made an actual "call" on an investment, telling people to stay away from the Facebook IPO until you had some actual news. It turns out....that was good advice (and would have been, even if Facebook hadn't halved immediately out of the gate).

Show notes: Most shows bore you with their top ways to raise returns. It takes an original production to give you specific tips sure to lower your returns. You are welcome.

Dec 14, 2015

Here's a gift that keeps on giving: stocks and index funds. But what do you do when the stock costs $100 and you only want to give $20? Peggy Mangot is the CEO and co-founder of SparkGift, and she explains how they tried to solve that problem on today's show!

Joe & OG share two terrifying headlines: Vanguard may end up having to drastically raise fees AND the IRS is cracking down on travelers who have government debt. We'll share details.

Historical note: On this episode we're already starting to notice that the show's running long. This particular episode is an attempt to shorten it....but that's not why it's short. Somehow the file was cut off! This episode ends unceremoniously after about 31 minutes. The rest? It's long, long gone.

We're getting lots of feedback that we should cut something, but when we ask, "What would you cut?" we get the answer over and over, "It's all good. That's the problem." I still don't know if they were lying or not, but we're starting to think about adding a second show already....nine weeks into the new podcast. There are so many things that need to be fixed about the show we're already gearing up for the relaunch. We're a month away from the new show and already making those plans.

Show notes: Jana from Daily Money Shot dot Net joins the Roundtable this week to talk Frugal Entertainment Ideas, while PK is all about company stock and finally OG & I give you tips to save money on groceries. (NOTE: the grocery tips never come....)

Dec 9, 2015

CEO of Tot Squad (TheTotSquad.com) Jennifer Beall Saxton, owed $75,000 in debt that was mostly student loans. What was her plan to pay it off? How did she get through the low point? What does she do to stay focused? She'll answer all of those questions on today's show.

Nick Clements joins us during the headlines segment to talk about something he knows really well--banking. It turns out TWO Wall Street firms are running away from the others. We'll share why AND some recent news about credit cards.

Joe & OG take your letters and talk about THEIR student loans....and more!

Early on we decided to begin taking on some tougher stances. Our goal was to show that OG was open to talking about products that many advisors will protect...even though he openly says that he sometimes recommends these products. What are the faults of annuities? What are the upsides? This is our first time peeling back this topic.

Original notes: The Roundtable Gang is back together this week and talks about passive income streams. PK is all about the math, while OG and Avg Joe gloat about their recent prediction.
